Virtual reality labs for universities

Virtual reality labs: students put on a headset and practise with the full equipment, such as a bioreactor, without using up materials or booking the real lab. It is not a web simulator or a video: it is immersive, hands-on practice for universities and training centres.

What it includes

  • 01Licensable bioreactor simulator
  • 02Unlimited practice with no material cost
  • 03Student progress tracking
  • 04Runs on standalone headsets

Why a virtual lab

  • One expensive machine for the whole group

Every student has their own equipment in the headset and practises at their own pace.

  • Reagents, materials and lab hours

Virtual practice uses nothing up: students repeat it as often as needed.

  • Mistakes that are costly or dangerous in the real lab

In virtual reality students make mistakes without consequences and learn from them.

  • Arriving at the real practical unprepared

The virtual lab prepares the in-person session: students arrive knowing what to do.

FAQ: virtual labs

What is a virtual lab?

A digital environment that reproduces a lab and its equipment for practicals. Ours are in virtual reality: students walk through and handle them with a headset, not on a screen.

Does it replace the real lab?

No, it complements it. It is used to prepare practicals, repeat them and reach equipment the institution does not have or cannot give every student.

Can we have a virtual lab for our course?

Yes. We license existing simulators, such as our bioreactor simulator, and build others around your curriculum.

What does the institution need?

Standalone Meta Quest headsets, with no computers or cables. We set them up and train the teaching staff.
